Cymbidium Hybrids

Miniature Cymbidium Hybrids

The term 'miniature' can be misleading. These plants are of 'intermediate' size averaging 45cms tall and with 5cms flowers.  Blooming time for the vast majority is from late autumn to April and may vary according to the season.

Min. Cym. AVIEMORE 'December Orange'    Flowering size from £17.50 Terracotta with a cream lip.  Lightly scented of freesia.  Flowers Dec to Jan.  (M)

Min. Cym. SARAH JEAN 'Ice Cascade'    Flowering size from £17.50  Very Limited  Smaller white flowers in arching sprays. Can be displayed in a hanging basket.   Flowers Jan to March.  (M)

Min. Cym. STRATHBRAAN 'Cooksbridge Santa'  Flowering size from £17.50   Creamy white flowers with red markings on the lip.  Has flowered Jan to Feb in the last couple of years. (M)

Min. Cym. STRATHCLYDE 'Lewes Fire'  Flowering size from £17.50 Medium sized flowers of Bordeaux wine red.  Flowers Dec to Jan.  (M)

Min. Cym. STRATHDON 'Chailey Red'  Flowering size from £17.50   Free flowering, smaller wine red flowers on a compact plant.  Flowers Dec to Jan.  (M)

Min. Cym. (STRATHDON x BAY SUN) 'Cooksbridge Wine'  Flowering size from £17.50   Wine pink blooms.  Flowers Jan to March.  (M)

Min. Cym. STRATHMORE'S RAINBOW 'Chailey Delight' AM/RHS    Flowering size from £18.50  Toffee coloured blooms with a strong lip, marked deep red.    Flowers Jan to Feb.  (M)

Seedlings:  There will be some variation within the cross.

Min. Cym. GROUVILLE BAY     Flowering size from £17.50  Seedlings.  Round flowers some pale green with red striping.  White lip bordered with pink and attractive dark red spotting on the edge.  Flowering Jan to Feb.

Min. Cym. HARBLEDOWN    Flowering size from £17.50 Seedlings.  Flowers of cream to pale pink some with spotting on the lip. Good sized plants. 9cm. flowers. Flowering Jan to Feb.

Min. Cym. STRATHBRAAN    Flowering size from £17.50  Seedlings.  Medium-small flowers, ivory/white, perhaps tinged pink and red markings on the lip.  Flowering Jan to Feb.

Min. Cym. WEST DOWN    Flowering size from £17.50 Seedlings.  Expect flowers in ice green to cream with a broad band of red on the lip. Flowering Jan to Feb.
